Roof Style: Gable Style
An enchanting three-room cottage, the cozy Solar Cabin is a dream for anyone who has wanted an off-the-grid lifestyle. It arrives fully assembled and is available to our customers who live within our Northeast delivery area. It is hard to get more sustainable than this building: the kitchen is equipped with a gray water sink, the 12” wood stove and propane heater allow you to choose your fuel source, and the electrical package even comes with a solar panel for truly sustainable energy. And with four season insulation, you will find comfort and peace in this rustic retreat all year round.
Solar Cabin Features
• Four Season Insulation – Get comfort year-round with our fully insulated option. The floor and roof are insulated with fiberglass insulation and vapor barrier. The walls get rigid foam board insulation. The interior is finished off with shiplap pine ceiling and wall sheathing. Additionally, double pane windows and an insulated door are included.
• Partially Finished – This version comes four-season and set up with off grid plumbing and a solar package.
The Solar Cabin is available to our customers as a fully assembled and partially-finished unit, ideal for anyone just starting out with the tiny living lifestyle. Constructed of sturdy, beautiful hemlock and spruce, the classic style of this cabin looks right at home tucked amongst the trees. This cottage comes in three sizes, the two largest having a screen porch that beckons you to stay, relax, and enjoy the view. The Solar Cabin would make an excellent campsite, off-grid homestead, hunting lodge, sustainable tiny home, or Airbnb. Jamaica Cottage Shop believes in making our building to last. You’ll find the Solar Cabin to be the pinnacle of quality construction. We use traditional post and beam building techniques that have been passed down through centuries and use the finest raw materials to ensure durability.
